Le Digger Demo: Every Feature of the Slot, Free
In short: Hacksaw Gaming's free version of Le Digger is the full game on play money: no account, a €5,000.00 balance, the 96.26% build the rules print and all four bonus buys open.
The studio's free demo gives you the whole game for nothing, buys and Bonus Gamble included. What it cannot give you is a measurement: our 100 rounds in it swung from €15.20 back to €78.40 back on the same €50.00 per 25 rounds.

Where the Demo Earns Its Keep
The demo earns its keep in one job: showing a dig before any money is at stake. The mechanics are hard to picture from a description. Try it for twenty spins and watch three things. First come the cracks that mark each cleared square, then the golden glow when a square reaches Layer 3, and finally the reveal of the coins under that glow.

That sequence is the whole game. A win removes the winning symbols and one layer beneath them, new symbols fill in, and the dig continues until nothing pays. You can read that sentence ten times and still not see it; one cascade on screen does the job.
Then open the rules screen. It prints the paytable at whatever bet you have set and, under it, the line "The theoretical payout (RTP) for this game is 96.26%". Knowing where that line sits is worth more than any number of spins, since it is the one place on screen where a game names its build.
Our 100 Rounds on Play Money
Our 100 rounds at €2.00 lost €2.40 overall: €197.60 came back on €200.00 staked. We logged each round from the game server on . Split into quarters of 25 rounds, the same €50.00 stake came back very differently:
| Rounds | Staked | Returned | Rounds that paid | Best round |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 25 | €50.00 | €15.20 | 5 | €10.00 |
| 26 to 50 | €50.00 | €78.40 | 8 | €46.00 |
| 51 to 75 | €50.00 | €51.60 | 9 | €15.20 |
| 76 to 100 | €50.00 | €52.40 | 12 | €20.00 |
| All 100 | €200.00 | €197.60 | 34 | €46.00 |
The first quarter handed back 30.4% of its stake and the second 156.8%. Same game, same bet, same build. Of the 34 rounds that paid, 18 paid less than the €2.00 they cost, so a "win" on this grid is often a partial refund. The longest run without any payout was 7 rounds, and no bonus triggered in all 100.
Four Buys, Priced in Play Money
At a €2.00 bet the four buys cost from €6.00 a spin to €500.00 a bonus. The demo lets you price them with play money. The BUY BONUS menu reads like this:

| Buy | Price at €2.00 | Multiple of bet | Volatility label |
|---|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins | €6.00 a spin | 3x | High |
| Dynamighty FeatureSpins | €150.00 a spin | 75x | High |
| Tomb Service | €160.00 | 80x | Medium |
| Dig It | €500.00 | 250x | High |
BonusHunt makes each spin "5 times more likely to trigger a bonus game", and Dynamighty guarantees that Smokey throws 1 to 5 sticks of dynamite. Gold Digger, the five-scatter bonus, has no price, since it can't be bought. We spent €1,160.00 of play money on three buys and got €368.80 back. Tomb Service taken straight to the Gamble landed on silver for €20.00, and a Dig It gambled the same way landed on gold for €60.00.
Inside a Bought Dig It
A bought Dig It, played out, returned €288.80 on its €500.00 price. It also let us watch the Blast Bar at work. The Blast Bar on the left counts removed symbols. When it filled, the screen flashed "+5 FS" and the bronze coin dropped off the scale, leaving silver, gold and diamond.

From then on every coin revealed was worth at least 5x the bet. One screen showed silver coins marked 9, 6, 5, 5 and 7 next to two golds marked 20. A single spin paid €49.03, and the bonus total came to 144.4x the bet. Even with a full Blast Bar, the buy still came back €211.20 short of its price.
Limits of a Free Session
A free session shows how the game moves, not what the next session will pay. Our 100 rounds returned 98.8% against the rules' 96.26%, worked out over ten billion simulated rounds. The quarter table above shows how little that means: one quarter returned 30.4% of its stake, the next 156.8%. Nothing here is a guarantee of how the next 100 will go.

The build is the second limit. The demo serves 96.26% and nothing else, while catalogues list 94.29%, 92.32% and 86.21% builds as well. A real-money version can also differ in bet ceiling and in which buys and speed settings it allows.
We do not recommend using the demo balance to rehearse a buying plan. Two Dig It buys at the same price returned €60.00 and €288.80, and play money makes €500.00 feel like nothing at all.
Reading the Demo's Rules Before You Play
Read the rules on the GAME INFO screen before the first spin, and read the max-win section in English. The French-language rules keep only two of its five sentences. They never warn that a 15,000x hit closes the round on the spot and wipes out any free spins left.
The demo opens from the play button on this page after an age check. Opening it costs nothing, needs no account and puts no stake at risk. Whether a money version is lawful for you is a separate question, and the answer depends on the law where you live.
Key Terms Used on This Page
- Play money
- The demo's balance, starting at €5,000.00, which can't be deposited, withdrawn or carried over to a casino.

This site takes no deposits and runs no identity checks; both stay off it entirely.
What Else Do Readers Ask?
Readers ask about the practical side of the free version: signing up, language, where the return is printed and whether the ceiling applies. Answers come from client 1.33.0 as we loaded it on .
Do you need to register to try Le Digger?
No, registration isn't needed. Confirm you are 18 or over and the free version loads on €5,000.00 of play money, with no email.
Which languages does the game client use?
Client 1.33.0 carries 35 locale files, French among them; we read the English and French rules, which call the Gamble « Pari Bonus » in French.

The return sits on the GAME INFO screen, right under the paytable, in one line: "The theoretical payout (RTP) for this game is 96.26%."
What do the rules say about hitting 15,000x?
The rules call the 15,000x ceiling "achievable in all game modes", but Hacksaw Gaming publishes no chance of reaching it, on play money or real stakes.
How do we test the game?
We open the studio's version after its 18+ prompt, play at €2.00, record each round as the game server reports it and read the rules screen in full.
