Where to Play Le Digger: Free Demo First, Then the Licence
In short: Le Digger can be played free anywhere the studio's demo loads, on €5,000.00 of play money. Money play is a separate question: it depends on the law where you live and on a casino licence you can check in a public register.
Whether you can stake money on Le Digger depends on where you live, so we start with the version that needs no licence at all: the free demo on this page. Then we walk through a licence check on the studio's own register entry, account 54059.

What to Check Before You Play Le Digger for Money
Four checks, in this order. The first decides whether the other three matter at all.
| Check | Where to look | What a pass looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Money play is lawful where you live | Your country's gambling law and its regulator | Online slots are among the games it licenses |
| The casino names a licence | The casino's footer | A licence or account number, not just a regulator's logo |
| The licence is real and current | The regulator's own public register | Active, with the same holder and domain |
| The build you would play | GAME INFO, the line under the paytable | 96.26%, or the figure that build prints |
Figures as recorded on ; the studio can change its game, rules or server answers without notice.
Where You Can Play Depends on Where You Live
Where you can play Le Digger for money depends on the law of the country you live in, not on the game. Some countries license online slots. Others allow only betting or poker online, and some ban online casino games outright. We can't settle that for every reader, so we won't pretend to: check your own country's gambling law and its regulator first.

The free version sidesteps the question. It runs on play money, so no stake changes hands.
Where the Free Demo Fits
The studio's free demo is the one route that needs no licence check, and it's loaded on this page. It starts at €5,000.00 of play money with a €2.00 bet and asks for no account. Nothing goes in and nothing comes out.

It isn't a cut-down version either. The demo includes all four bonus buys and the Bonus Gamble, whose eight-tile Dig It board is pictured here. That board shows what free play is for. On screen the four gold tiles take half the board, while the game server weights gold at 47.5%. You can try the choice as often as you like without a cent at risk.
What the Demo Server Serves
Hacksaw Gaming's demo server serves exactly one build of Le Digger, the 96.26% one, and answers a request for any other model with an error. We asked it for each on :
Builds Asked for on the Demo Server
| Build | Server answer | Who prints the figure |
|---|---|---|
| 96.26% | Served | The rules screen and the game server |
| 94.29% | Error | Catalogues only |
| 92.32% | Error | Catalogues only |
| 86.21% | Error | Catalogues only |
So the demo shows the highest of the four returns we know of. A casino may run a lower one, which is why the build gets its own check below.
Checking a Casino Licence Before You Play
Where money play is lawful, a casino's licence is checked in its regulator's own public register, by account number, in five steps. A licence is something to verify, not to take on trust.
This site carries an affiliate button to a partner casino. Use it only if online slots are lawful where you live, and check that casino's licence before anything else:
1. Find the licence or account number in the casino's footer.
2. Open the regulator's own public register, not a copy on another site.
3. Search by account number rather than by brand name, since names can be close.
4. Compare the holder's name, the status, the licensed activities and the domain names listed.
5. When the footer and the register disagree, believe the register.
The studio's own entry shows why step 5 exists. Hacksaw Gaming's footer prints 000-054059-R-331396-002, while the Gambling Commission register we read on shows a later edition:
| Field | What the register shows |
|---|---|
| Account | 54059 |
| Holder | HGMT Limited, Malta |
| Licence number | 054059-R-331396-007 |
| Status | Active |
| Activities | Gambling Software, Game Host (Casino) |
| Holding it since | |
| Domain listed | hacksawgaming.com |
The account number stayed the same and only the edition moved, so a mismatch at the end of the string isn't automatically a fake. A missing account is a different matter. We do not recommend a casino whose footer licence number can't be found in its regulator's register at all. We also looked up Evolution, a supplier that sits in the same files under account 41655. That proves the search itself works. Otherwise an empty result could just as well mean a broken search.
Which Le Digger Build a Casino Runs
A casino can run a different build of Le Digger from the demo, and only the game's own GAME INFO screen tells you which. The demo plays 96.26%, but catalogues list three more builds at 94.29%, 92.32% and 86.21%. The client's rules template fills in the build's own figure on the line under the paytable.

Bet limits and buys can differ too. The demo allows €0.05 to €2,000.00 a spin and sells all four buys, while a real-money version can carry different limits. We do not recommend judging any real-money version by the demo, since the demo cannot show which build and limits that version runs. Nor do we recommend the Dig It buy, at 250 times the bet, as a first money purchase: our two bought Dig Its cost €1,000.00 at a €2.00 bet and returned €348.80.
Limits and Free Help
Two limits come first: a deposit cap and a session timer, both set before the first deposit. Most licensed casinos offer cool-off periods and self-exclusion, and many regulators run a scheme that covers every site they license. A ban only reaches the sites its scheme covers, so it's worth checking which ones before relying on it.
Free help doesn't depend on where you live. Gambling Therapy, a global service offered by Gordon Moody, gives free practical advice and emotional support to anyone affected by gambling. Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship with no dues or fees, and its website has a meeting finder.
